1611-1718

1611-1718 (stormaktstiden) began when King Gustav II Adolf became king 1611 and ended when Charles XII died 1718.

As it sounds, Sweden was a superpower during the seventeenth century. We were well placed, as Denmark had a crisis and other countries as well. So the Swedish king took the opportunity and a war began which later became the Thirty Years War.
1611:

Now Sweden became a powerful country. We took over more and more parts of countries around the Baltic Sea.
1658:

 

 
But Denmark attack over the Baltic Sea when the worst winter in 100 years! Charles X who fought in Poland turns and march across the ice behind the Danish troops and attacks on the ice.

1718:

 

But every age has an end. And it comes when Charles XII dies. He died when he inspected a shooting moat input a war in norway.
